The XXL HAUNTED HOUSE

The XXL HAUNTED HOUSE was packed to the rafters this weekend! Thanks to everyone who made the effort and dressed up in their Halloween finest. We had some seriously sexy beasts, horny devils, spunky spooks and even wonder woman! Have a look for yourself!

Hate Crime Vigil

Gay Hate Crime is on the rise and in this day and age it is unacceptable!  Please join XXL on this Friday night to support the  the Hate Crime Vigil in London. It's taking place to remember the thousands  victims of hate crime around the world.

Ian Banyham was attacked in a gay hate attack in Trafalgar Square, after which he died. There is a young man victim of a similar attack fighting for his life.

Mark Ames  on the behalf of XXL has pledged the £600 for the cost of the public liability to ensure that this event can take place.

Please show your support and as a gay community we can stand united against this horrific crime of hate.

The vigil takes place from 8pm until 10pm. Two minutes silence at 9pm.

Here's the link for more information: http://bit.ly/HateCrimeVigil

It's out with the hate and in with the love.

XXL is now boycotting Jamaican products as a protest against the island's treatment of gays and lesbians.

For a number of years XXL has been selling Red stripe in it's bars, but we now feel that we can no longer indirectly financially support a  country that is openly supporting the gay-hate movement

This is well documented that concerts and events sponsored by Red Stripe actively promote hatred and violence towards gays.

XXL OctoBEARfest Party in the press

Flipping through the latest issue of QX magazine we spotted XXL's very own Mark Ames in a feature called 'Gay Scene Icons'. Our bear ears perked-up. It is an article listing all the gay scene icons. David McGillivray listed Mark as his vote for Gay Scene Icon. Here is what it had to say....

'"Although big, hairy men had their own small clubs, Mark Ames did the most to make a fringe group part of the gay mainstream with the superclub XXL opened in 2000. Ames' annual Bear Pride is now a major event. Without Ames it's unlikely we'd see bears dancing a can-can on Britain's Got Talent"
